The Strickler clan of Arizona, Oregon and Colorado all gathered together for the Annual Tuscon Rock and Gem show this past weekend. Charlie organized a house for us all to stay in at the Catalina Foothilss, which was absolutely beautiful. Sarah, Obie and their two girls Bryn (4) and Bailey (1) from Central Point, Michael and Susie from Selma, Charlie and Danielle from Arvada Colorado and Sam, Perrin and myself from Prescott.
As far as the rock show went I guess it was pretty sucessful. There were lots of rocks to look at and from the sounds of it some of those rocks will be joining various Strickler's in their living rooms and offices. We also got a chance to sight see a bit - going the Tuscon Natural History Museum as well as Old Tuscon, where many westerns were and continue to be filmed. The weather was 75 by the time we headed back to the house and we were all tired. Unfortunately Sam came down with something and was pretty miserable. Meanwhile Perrin and her cousin Bryn couldn't wait to hang out with their Aunt Danielle. It was a good weekend.
