Thanksgiving

What a great weekend we had in Bend Oregon with Balin's side of the family.  We had Obie & Sarah's family from Jacksonville Oregon, Susie and Michael from Selma, Charlie, Lindsey and Casey from Golden Colorado all come together to give thanks and celebrate....lots of things.

The celebrations started off in the birthday arena.  Bailey & Brynn celebrated their birthdays in November while Perrin's was a little ways off in December - but that didn't stop her from wanting a present.  The girls all opened their presents - Birthday pajamas - which they wore the whole next day.  We didn't stop with birthday presents though, we kept moving through to Christmas.  It was nice to have a couple of presents for all the kiddos to open and I think the girls liked matching.

Michael brought a jug of mature whiskey that he had gotten from his dad.  He raised a toast to all the family in honor of the patriarch Poppy, Michael's dad, who left a legacy among the Strickler men.

Just in case there wasn't enough for the boys to drink to the Strickler legacy, Michael brought more.

We had a lovely time exploring Bend and spending time eating, drinking and general merriment.  The next Strickler event draws us all back to the Bend area in August to watch a once in a lifetime celestial event - we're looking forward to gathering all again and carrying on the Strickler legacy.
