Paris

Paris.  What a city.  Beautiful, loud, full of people.  We went to Paris with our house mate Eugene, who is the families nanny.  He's from Russia but has spent the last 6 months in school learning French.  Though he didn't speak much English we were able to communicate and get to where we wanted to go.
We started off at the iconic Eiffel Tower which was beleaguered with tourists.  I had checked into getting tickets to go up the tower but there was absolutely no availability.  Perrin was a bit disappointed but worked through it.  From there we followed Eugene as he quickly walked through the Metro stations making Grandma a little frustrated at trying to keep up.  We saw the Arc d'Triomphe, Notre Dame, 2 Cafe's that served excellent coffee, the Seine and that was about enough.  We decided that being a tourist was exhausting and we were definitely out of shape for that sport.
